Space is Key ($0.99 → Free, 26.8 MB): Space, and timing, is key in this supremely challenging arcade game.

Tap on the screen at just the right moment to cause your square to jump over the many obstacles. As you progress through the game the pace picks up and so does the snark from the computer that’s narrating every step of your journey. The game includes 131 levels, and achievements and leaderboards via Game Center.

Space is Key is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 215 ratings.

Taxi Finder by TaxiFareFinder.com ($0.99 → Free, 13.5 MB): Find out how much it’s going to cost you to get to your destination before jumping into a taxi with this travel app.

Just pick two points on the map by grabbing the info from your address book, adding it manually, choosing points of interest, or placing pins on the map. Taxi Finder will provide you with an accurate estimate based on local rates. You can then search for taxi companies in your vicinity, get reviews, and even call them right from the app.

Hide & Seek: Fun With Animals ($1.99 → Free, 29.6 MB): An entertainment app where your children can play hide and seek with a bunch of fun little animals.

The app includes three worlds to play in, and three different versions of each world. At the beginning of each round, the little animals will scatter and hide behind objects in the environment. Your child must listen for clues and look closely to find them. Where the little animals hide is totally random, so each and every round will be different. The app also includes interactive elements, and a total of six animals to find.

Quick Math – Arithmetic & Times Tables ($1.99 → Free, 30.4 MB): This educational game offers kids an innovative and engaging way to work on their math skills.

They’re able to choose from five different modes and four difficulty levels. They will then be presented with a series of math problems, and they must try to answer them as quickly and efficiently as possible. The neat thing is, your kids can just write their answers right on the screen since Sakura Quick Math features an advanced handwriting recognition engine.

Weblock – AdBlock for iOS ($1.99 → Free, 10.0 MB): Block ads and other annoying content in your apps and on the web with this utility app.

Weblock works with any Wi-Fi enabled iDevice. The app will generate a unique configuration link within the Setup menu. Then launch your Settings app, choose the network you’re on, and set your HTTP proxy to “Auto.” A new URL field will appear, where you can paste your unique link. Then make sure to kill all of your active processes, and none of your apps will show text ads, banners, or pop-ups ever again. It even works with YouTube and Pandora! The app also includes the ability to create your own rules and filters, and iCloud support.

Pic&Vid Stitch ($0.99 → Free, 25.7 MB): Share your favorite moments through photo and video collages with Pic&Vid Stitch.

It allows you to combine multiple photos and videos in a variety of ways. You have 11 different ratio sizes to choose from and 57 completely adjustable frames. You’re able to import photos and videos from your library, or you can take and record new ones right from within the app. Frames can be adjust by dragging on their borders, and you can increase or decrease the blur between them by dragging a slider. More than 50 different photo and video filters can be applied before sharing your creation via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or email. The app also includes six resolutions to choose from, a built-in camera timer, and undo.

Pic&Vid Stitch is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 107 ratings.

Piiig Labs ($2.99 → Free, 118.2 MB): Your child can perform science experiments without all of the mess with Piiig Labs.

It allows your child to put together mini projects and learn through interaction. It includes six kits with a bunch of parts to assemble. Project themes include electricity, chemical reaction, circuits, color mixing, radio frequency, vortex, and sound. The app is entirely free of ads and in-app purchases, so just hand your iPad off and let your child explore.
